Some Common Memory Failures And Solutions
Memory failure One: boot no display
The reason for this type of memory failure is usually due to poor contact between the memory module and the motherboard slot. In general, you can use the eraser to wipe the gold finger between memory sticks to solve the problem (do not use alcohol and other corrosive items for cleaning). This is may caused by memory corruption and problems with the motherboard slot also. No display failure due to the memory module. The PC speakers will always beep for a long time (for Award BIOS).
Memory Failure Two: Windows often automatically enters safe mode
This type of fault is generally incompatible with the motherboard and the memory module. Commonly used in high-frequency memory bars for motherboards that do not support sub-frequency memory sticks, you can try to set the CMOS, reduce the memory read speed to see if you can solve the problem, if not, you can only replace the memory.
Memory Failure Three: random crashes
Such failure is generally due to the use of several different frequency memory, due to a different time difference between the memory speed resulting in crashes, you can try to reduce the memory speed in CMOS settings, if not, can only use the same frequency of the same type of memory. Another possibility is that the memory module is not compatible with the motherboard, but this kind of phenomenon is rare. In addition, the poor contact between the memory module and the motherboard also causes the computer to freeze.
